Herb to 30cm tall. Flowers dark purple. Calyx purple and glandular. Leaves whitish, hairy, edged with purple, strongly aromatic. Stamens 2 fertiles and 2 steriles. Anthers with divergent thecae.
in a large young morraine with Rosa, Salix, Tamarix, Erigeron and Poaceae.

Identification Notes: Verified with Flora of the USSR. Vol.20, V. L. Komarov. Leaves orbicular, cordate with broad rounded teeth, purplish abaxially and with golden sessile glands.Corolla purple two lipped. Lower stamens sterile, shorter than the 2 long fertile and exserted upper stamens. Anther thecae divergent but slit not connected. Calyx purple densely lanate, two lipped, the sinus betwen the lobes with possibly a thicker appendage. Doesn't key out as Dracocephalum, possibly belongs to a different genus ?
