Region: Jalal-Abad Oblast  Ala-Buka Rayon
Gazetteer: 16km south-east of Chapchyma Pass 
Coordinates: 41º31'39'' N, 70º48'48'' E  Alt: 2666m 

Plant with elongated creeping stem and basal rosette of leaves to 5-15cm tall. Flowers purple with darker veins.
SW slope herb community dominated by Artemisia dracunculus. gravelly soil.

Identification Notes: Verified with Flora of the USSR. Vol.14, V. L. Komarov and Yeo 'Hardy Geraniums'. Leaves palmately divided to base. Stipules entire. Flowers upright, petals to 12mm long, without hairs all across the base and front. Immature fruits erect. Schizocarp forcibly discharged with seeds ejected from mericarps. Mericarps with tuft of bristles at lower end of orifice.
