Gazetteer: 7km south-west of Kara-Buura Pass 
Coordinates: 42º09'14'' N, 71º31'36'' E  Alt: 2694m 

Herb, multistemmed from base to 50cm tall. Plant aromatic (like soup !). Calyx and corolla lanate hairy. Stamens 4 with yellow exserted anthers. Corolla dull pale purple.
Bottom of the slope, in an old cattle herding patch with rich humus and tall vegetation.

Identification Notes: Verified with Flora of the USSR. Vol.7, V. L. Komarov and Flora of China online ( Perennial herb with woody rhizomes. Leaves palmately 5 partite. Lobes pinnately divided into linear-lanceolate segments. Verticillasters 2cm in diameter, lanate-pilose, numerous in spike. Bracteoles spiny, villous, curved upwards. Calyx lanate-pilose, 5mm long, 5 toothed. Corolla upper lip flat, purple, densely hirsute outside, lower one purplish with yellow markings.
