Minute herb to 5cm in diameter. Leaves and calyx purple-tinged. Leaves in a rosette at the base, spathulate, serrate at apex and minutely purple-dotted. Flowers to 4mm in diameter. Corolla lobes pale pink with a yellow mouth.
Alpine exposed rocky hill at the top of the pass E to NE facing. With Dracocephalum, Astragalus, Pulsatilla, Silene, Allium.

Identification Notes: Verified with Flora of the USSR. Vol.18, V. L. Komarov. Small annual on gravely soil. Leaves in a basal rosette. Leaves elliptic, subrounded, finely denticulate in upper part only, narrowed to a broad petiole at base. Corolla urceolate white-pink with yellow and smooth corona. Ovary, style and stamens inserted inside the corolla. Capsule globose often with persistent corolla at the top. Calyx teeth longer than calyx, accrescent in fruit. Bracts large. Pedicels and peduncles short. Common species usually occuring at lower altitudes, this plant is extremely small.
