Coordinates: 42º17'28'' N, 73º06' E  Alt: 3554m 

Up to 20cm tall. Leaves pinnate mostly radical. Stem green, hairy with red lines. Capitula solitary following the sun movement. Phyllaries light-green in the middle and with brown margin. Ligulate florets white and long, tubular florets yellow.
Alpine mountain ridge with Polygonum (Bistorta), Dracocephalum, Rhodiola, Erigeron, Androsace, Sibbaldia, Poaceae.

Identification Notes: Verified with Flora of the USSR. Vol.26, V. L. Komarov. Leaves 2-3 times pinnatisect with linear glabrous lobes. Peduncle hairy. Capitula to 3cm in diameter, phyllaries numerous in several rows. Phyllaries with black membranous margin, sometimes laciniate. Receptacle without scales or hairs. Anthers with short spur at base. Stigmas with hairs at the top but without swollen part on the style.Cypsela glabrous with a membranous tube or corona on the top. Coronna shorter than the cypsela. No herbarium specimen at Kew.
