Stems with 4 hairy white lines. Leaves in whorls of 4. Flowers yellow-white in terminal capitate whorls. Corolla tube forms a 90 degrees angle in the middle. Upper corolla lip beaked. Calyx woolly hairy. Seeds angular.
in a large young morraine with Rosa, Salix, Tamarix, Erigeron and Poaceae

Identification Notes: Verified with Flora of the USSR. Vol.22, V. L. Komarov. Ser. abrotanifoliae. Annual with whorled leaves. Plant with crispate hairs. Leaves pinnatisect. Inflorescence dense or elongated and whorled. Corolla light yellow, curved at an obtuse angle above the calyx tube. Galea short beaked with 2 lobes at apex. Lip 3 lobed, lobes serrate. Filament of 2 stamens pilose the other 2 glabrous. Capsule oblique, slightly exceeding the campanulate calyx. Seeds pitted.
