Plant acaulescent growing in gravels with a strong taproot. Leaves deeply lobes. Flowers very large light purple with notched petals and long claw. Flowers fragrant. Calyx long, saccate at base. Siliquae fleshy and segmented.

Identification Notes: Verified with Flora of the USSR. Vol.8, V. L. Komarov. Leaves lyrate with simple flat hairs and short glandular ones. Scape very short. Petals to 20mm long tapering into a long claw. Siliquae tomentose, septum small, fibrous. Siliquae 25-30mm long, indehiscent, disarticulating transversally into individual segments. Seeds in two rows. Embryo pleurorhizal.
