Gazetteer: Suusamyr Valley 
Coordinates: 42º11'41'' N, 73º15'03'' E  Alt: 2780m  to the south of Otmök.

Small herbaceous plant with felted, greyish leaves and stems. Bracts woolly as the phyllaries. Capitulas several aggregated. Specimen in fruit.
Alpine grazed meadow on a North facing slope with Phlomis, Geranium, Poaceae and Papaver as dominant species.

Identification Notes: Verified with Flora of the USSR. Vol.25, V. L. Komarov. Bracts not distinctly different from the cauline leaves and forming a star around the aggregated 3-6 capitula. Pappus of long white to brown hairs. Florets not seen.
