1m tall herb. Leaves palmately lobed, hairy. Flowers large, petals white with a yellow claw. Epicalyx and calyx covering the schizocarp.
Very dry South facing slope on conglomerate rocks with Eremurus, Cerasus, Celtis, Prangos, Centaurea.
Identification Notes: Verified with Flora of the USSR. Vol.15, V. L. Komarov. Mericarps with two very short wings, hairy in between. Mericarps 2 locular but one aborted therefore mericarp is one seeded. Epicalyx 3/4 as long as the calyx. Leaves lobed but only superficially. Stem covered with small stellate hairs as well as long-rayed fasciculate ones.
