Stipules long and serrate. Petiole 2-3mm long. Leaves on short shoots.Drupe red to 7mm in diameter opaque. Drupe with one pitted, furrowed torulose stone inside. Drupe hairy at apex. Pedicels 1-2mm long. Cerasus is a difficult group to identify close to C. erythrocarpa but with smaller leaves and revolute margin. But this looks more like a result of the drier habitat.
