Herbaceous in a very loose scree. Plant to 30cm tall. Leaves linear, grey. Flowers in raceme. Flowers purple-brown with a long spur. Lower lip recurved with yellow veins.
Alpine meadow dominated by Artemisia dracunculus on loose scree.

Identification Notes: Verified with Flora of the USSR. Vol.22, V. L. Komarov. Plant glaucescent. Leaves linear, alternate. Inflorescence a dense terminal raceme. Calyx glabrous, rounded with membranous and ciliate margin. Corolla to 15mm long, spur straight purple-yellow with darker purple lines. Lip brown-purple, palate orange. Seeds black, smooth with a wide wing around.
