Gazetteer: 15km south of Kara-Buura Pass 
Coordinates: 42º03'58'' N, 71º35'44'' E  Alt: 2247m  after the bridge in the camp site along the river.


1.5m tall. Leaves twice ot three times pinnate with a few stipels on main leaf axis. Leaflets 3-5 lobed at apex, glaucous. Leaves sheathing at base. Inflorescence terminal paniculate. Tepals inconspicuous, deciduous. Stamen many with long filament and dangling. Carpels 3 ribbed on one side, stigmas purple.
Damp meadow along the Chatkal river in the shade of tall Populus, Betula trees with Berberis, Carex, Cirsium, Mentha.

Identification Notes: Verified with Flora of the USSR. Vol.7, V. L. Komarov. Leaves 3 pinnatipartite. Leaflets 3 lobed and toothed, rounded at base, ovate shorter than wide. Inflorescence a branched raceme. Carpels 5-8 with 6 slightly winged ribs. Filament slender narrower than the anthers. Close to T. flavum which has longer than wide leaflets, and anthers with a short mucro, T. simplex has bipinnate leaves that are appressed to the stem.
