Coordinates: 42º09'14'' N, 71º31'36'' E  Alt: 2694m 


Tall few-branched herb, straggling along taller shrubs. 2m tall. Ocrea truncate brown. Stem often reddish and 'zig-zig'. Tepals 5, white becoming purple-red in fruit. Nutlets trigonous. Tepals persitent, dry and longer than nutlets.
Island of shrubs with Juniperus, Lonicera in the middle of the loose scree.

Identification Notes: Verified with Flora of the USSR. Vol.5, V. L. Komarov. Subgenus Aconogonum. Inflorescence a large branched panicle. Leaf base cuneate. Tepals not becoming fleshy and nutlet three-angled but not winged. Several Aconogonum are recognised in the Flora but it is very difficult to recognise any of the differences listed.
