Location:San Luis Potosi, Cerro de San Miguelito, above Privadas de Pedregal. Canada de Lobos.
Coordinates: 22°05'50" N, 101°00'32" W Alt: 2230m

Shrub 30 cm tall. Male, in flower, flowers pale pink outside, darker inside. Stamens yellow.
Disturbed sandy area grazed by horses and donkeys. Geology: igneous rock. Open sandy area with rocks.

Identification Notes: Verified with Rzedwoski, G.C. & J. 2001 'Flora fanerogamica del Valle de Mexico'. Leaves grouped into fascicules. Corolla cylindrical with shirt lobes. Stamens fused into a column with 5 free anthers apically. Nectary disc cupular. Male plant.
