Location:San Luis Potosi, Cerro de San Miguelito, above Privadas de Pedregal. Canada de Lobos.
Coordinates: 22°05'50" N, 101°00'32" W Alt: 2230m

Herb with thick roots, prostrate or ascending to 10 cm tall. Flowers white with pink markings inside the throat. Corolla tube yellow-brown. Buds pinkish.
Disturbed sandy area grazed by horses and donkeys. Geology: igneous rock. Growing on rocky NE-facing 10º slope with Poaceae, Compositae and Leguminosae.

Identification Notes: Verified with Kobuski, C. E. 1928 'A monograph of the American species of the genus Dyschoriste' Ann. Missouri Bot. Gard. 15: 9-91 and Henrickson, J. 1999 'Studies in the genus Dyschoriste (Acanthaceae): I. Plants of northern Mexico, Texas to Arizona' Lundellia 2: 72-99. Stems evenly pubescent, leaves linear but more than 2mm wide. Flowers axillary and terminal. Corolla to 15mm long, tubular. Stamens 4, anther glabrous, sagitate and mucronate at base. Seeds glabrous.
