Location:San Luis Potosi, Cerro de San Miguelito, above Privadas de Pedregal. Canada de Lobos.
Coordinates: 22°05'50" N, 101°00'32" W Alt: 2230m

Prostrate to ascending shrub 10 cm tall. Flowers yellow, 1 cm in diameter.
Disturbed sandy area grazed by horses and donkeys. Geology: igneous rock. Growing on rocky NE-facing 10º slope in sandy pockets between rocks.

Identification Notes: Verified with Rzedowski, G.C. 1999 'Flora del Bajio y de regiones adyacentes' Vol. 80. Aromatic shrub. Plant pubescent to sericeous hairy. Leaves with extrafloral nectaries at the base. Flower solitary and subsessile, bracts lanceolate and persistent in fruit. Flowers heterostylous, corolla infundibuliform yellow. Capsule pubescent, seeds few and alveolate.
