Location:San Luis Potosi. On Route 70 from San Luis Potosi to Rio Verde. On the north side of the road.
Coordinates: 22°03'55" N, 100°36'46" W Alt: 2238m

Shrub 50 cm tall, little branched. Flowers yellow, corolla lobes becoming partially reflexed. Anthers pale yellow. Stigma green. Leaves smell foetid.
Quercus mexicana woodland with Rhus and Crataegus. Growing in shade of Quercus mexicana.

Identification Notes: Verified with Michael Nee 1986 'Flora of Veracruz' Vol. 49. Inflorescence axillary with 5-10 flowers. Plant almost glabrous.
