Location:San Luis Potosi. On Route 70 from San Luis Potosi to Rio Verde. On the north side of the road.
Coordinates: 22°03'55" N, 100°36'46" W Alt: 2238m

Small rosette herb with erect scape. Corolla light pink with darker markings on lower lip and white inside the throat.
Quercus mexicana woodland with Rhus and Crataegus. Growing in open area with Poaceae.

Identification Notes: Verified with Daniel, T. F. 1985 'A revision of Stenandrium (Acanthaceae) in Mexico and adjacent regions' Ann. Missouri Bot. Gard. 71: 1028-1043. Leaves mostly in a basal rosette, cauline ones opposite and short petiolate. Inflorescence terminal racemose-capitate. Flowers purple pseudo-actinomorphic with imbricate corolla lobes. Calyx cupular and ciliate. Stamens 4 with unilocular hairy anthers.
