Coordinates: 21°24'53" N, 99°07'45" W Alt: 2129m

Minute, succulent herb.
Pinus forest with Pinus gregii, Arbutus xalapensis, Cupressus lusitanica, Rhus aromatica, Litsea glaucescens, Quercus obtusata, Q. affinis, Cornus, Aphananthe. Growing in moss on rock in shade.

Identification Notes: Verified with Calderon, G. & Rzedowski, J. 2001 'Flora fanerogamica del Valle de Mexico'. Leaves succulent with reddish underside. Leaves whorled by 4 with short petiole. Spike to 6mm long, bracts peltate and glandular. Stamens 2.
