Location:Queretaro, Lagunita de San Diego.
Coordinates: 21°25'01" N, 99°07'47" W Alt: 2148m

Herb with white sap. Flowers pale mauve with purple markings.
Pinus forest with Pinus gregii, Arbutus xalapensis, Cupressus lusitanica, Rhus aromatica, Litsea glaucescens, Quercus obtusata, Q. affinis, Cornus, Aphananthe. Growing in rocky area with Arbutus, Litsea and Mimosoideae.

Identification Notes: Verified with Jerzy Rzedowski 1997 'Flora del Bajio y de Regiones Adyacentes' Vol. 58. Leaves opposite or pseudo-opposite. Flowers zygomorphic, corolla tube shorter than lobes. Stamens only fused partially at the apex of filaments, anthers free. Fruit a bilocular capsule with numerous small seeds. Monotypic genus endemic to a small area of the Sierra Madre Oriental, de México. Vulnerable to extinction.
