Coordinates: 21°25'01" N, 99°07'47" W Alt: 2148m

Shrub 1 m height and spread. Stamens pale yellow.
Pinus forest with Pinus gregii, Arbutus xalapensis, Cupressus lusitanica, Rhus aromatica, Litsea glaucescens, Quercus obtusata, Q. affinis, Cornus, Aphananthe. Growing at edge of clearing with Litsea.

Identification Notes: Verified with Webster, G.L. 'A provisional synopsis of sections of the genus Croton' Taxon 42(4) 1993: 793-823. Section Lamprocroton. Monoecious shrub; indumentum of foliage lepidote at least in part. Stipules reduced or absent; inflorescences terminal, without bisexual cymules; petals reduced in pistillate flowers; stamens 10-15; pistillate flowers mostly sessile or subsessile, sepals equal to distinctly unequal, entire, eglandular, valvate. Styles bifid.
