Location:Queretaro, Lagunita de San Diego.
Coordinates: 21°24'46" N, 99°07'44" W Alt: 2138m

Erect herb. Stems tinged purple. Flowers purple, upper petals dark purple, lower lip light purple with yellow at base. Anther apices orange.
Pinus forest with Pinus gregii, Arbutus xalapensis, Cupressus lusitanica, Rhus aromatica, Litsea glaucescens, Quercus obtusata, Q. affinis, Cornus, Aphananthe. Growing in a clearing with Dodonaea viscosa, Rhus aromatica and Litsea.

Identification Notes: Verified with Harvey E. Ballard, 1994 'Flora del Bajio y de Regiones adyacentes'. Leaves with ovate apex. Stipules conspicuous. Lower lip to 1cm long, lateral lobes much smaller. Anthers with large brown and scarious connective.
