Location:Queretaro, Lagunita de San Diego.
Coordinates: 21°24'26" N, 99°07'53" W Alt: 2164m

Spiny climber 1.2 m tall, climbing with tendrils. Flowers green. Tepals brownish-green, recurved at apex.
Pinus forest with Pinus gregii, Arbutus xalapensis, Cupressus lusitanica, Rhus aromatica, Litsea glaucescens, Quercus obtusata, Q. affinis, Cornus, Aphananthe.

Identification Notes: Verified with Rzedowski, G.C. & Rzedowski, J. 1994 'Flora del Bajio de Regiones Adyacentes Smilacaceae fasciculos'. Plant glabrous, leaves with 5 nerves, semicordate at base and lyrate in shape. Tendrils fused to petiole at base. Female inflorescence with 10-15 flowers. Flowers to 5mm long.
