Location:Queretaro, Lagunita de San Diego.
Coordinates: 21°24'23" N, 99°07'56" W Alt: 2124m

Climber 2.5 m tall. In bud.
Pinus forest with Pinus gregii, Arbutus xalapensis, Cupressus lusitanica, Rhus aromatica, Litsea glaucescens, Quercus obtusata, Q. affinis, Cornus, Aphananthe. Climbing on Compositae under Quercus in part-shade.

Identification Notes: Verified with Jose Angel Villarreal Q. 2000 'Flora del Bajio y de Regiones Adyacentes' Vol. 88. Subgenus Periclymenum subsection Phenianthi. Leaves pilose abaxially, not coriaceous. Inflorescence a pedunculate spike of sessile three flowered cymes. Involucral bract amplexicaule. Bracts and bracteoles shorter than ovaries. Corolla hairy, calyx reduced, ovaries glaucous.
