Shrub 4 m tall. Flowers pink, paler outside, petal claw green. 1 stamen, anther red.
Pinus forest with Pinus gregii, Arbutus xalapensis, Cupressus lusitanica, Rhus aromatica, Litsea glaucescens, Quercus obtusata, Q. affinis, Cornus, Aphananthe. Growing in rocks under Cupressus on a 45º slope, NW-facing.

Identification Notes: Verified with Flora del Bajio 51, Leguminosae. Subfamily Caesalpinioideae. Petals 5, petal claws pubescent.
