Coordinates: 21°24'19" N, 99°08'20" W Alt: 1964m

Shrub 1 m tall. Branches pendent. Flowers white, sweet scented. Stamens yellow.
Pinus forest with Pinus gregii, Arbutus xalapensis, Cupressus lusitanica, Rhus aromatica, Litsea glaucescens, Quercus obtusata, Q. affinis, Cornus, Aphananthe.

Identification Notes: Verified with Eleazar Carranza González 1999 'Flora fel Bajio y de Regiones Adyacentes Theaceae' Vol. 73. Leaves entire lanceolate to oblanceolate. Sepals not ciliate but with marginal glands, erect. Ovary semi-inferior, stamen many with apiculate connectives.
