Location:San Luis Potosi, Xilitla, La Trinidad, on top of 'El Pilon'
Coordinates: 21°23'55" N, 99°04'34" W Alt: 2144m

Arching shrub. Flowers purplish with campanulate corolla, slightly scented. Style and stamens white, exserted.
Rock outcop above the forest. Growing on SE, SW, and NW sides of the rocks with Quercus laeta, Verbesina, Croton, Agave and Cercocarpus.

Identification Notes: Verified with Villarreal-Q, Jose Angel 2000 'Flora del Bajio y de Regiones Adyacentes' Vol. 88. Flowers paired or single. Corolla campanulate, bilabiate with a narrow tube. Calyx lobes 5, reddish and accrescent. Ovary densely pubescent.
