Location:San Luis Potosi, Xilitla, La Trinidad, on top of 'El Pilon'
Coordinates: 21°23'55" N, 99°04'34" W Alt: 2144m

Shrub 1 m tall, few stemmed. Leaves rusty pubescent beneath. Fruits red.
Rock outcop above the forest. Growing on SW side of the rocks with Vesalea grandifolia.

Identification Notes: Verified with M. Socorro González Elizondo, Martha González Elizondo 2014 'Flora del Bajio y de Regiones Adyacentes' Vol 183. Leaves ferrugineous wooly abaxially, entire. Inflorescence terminal, racemose, paniculate. Fruit drupaceous with fleshy mesocarp (and with papillae). Nutlets with a single seed. This species is disjunctly distributed in Oaxaca, Chiapas and central America.
