Location:Puebla, Mpio Tepeyahualco, Laguna de Alchichica.
Coordinates: 19°24'26" N, 97°23'54" W Alt: 2325m

Minute, rosette herb with fleshy, white roots, spreading by creeping stolons. Calyx, corolla and stamens yellow. Petals with a triangular marking at base. Gynoecium prominent, light green.
Salt lake marginal habitat, grazed by sheep and goats. Growing with Juncus in short grazed turf at salt lake edge, 1 m from water.

Identification Notes: Verified with Calderon, G. & Rzedowski, J. 2001 'Flora fanerogamica del Valle de Mexico'. Leaves simple. Achenes with longitudinal grooves, without apical appendage.
