Location:Puebla, Mpio Tepeyahualco, Laguna de Alchichica.
Coordinates: 19°24'26" N, 97°23'54" W Alt: 2325m

Rush 30 cm tall growing from linear creeping stolons.
Salt lake marginal habitat, grazed by sheep and goats. Growing into the water from lake edge.

Identification Notes: Verified with Kirschner, J. (2002) Species plantarum : flora of the world. Part 8, Juncaceae. 3, Juncus subg. Agathryon. Section Juncotypus. Stems inconspicuously irregularly striate when dry. Stamens 6, anthers ca. 2x as long as filaments. Stem slightly twisted.
