Location:Puebla, Mpio Tepeyahualco, Laguna de Alchichica.
Coordinates: 19°24'26" N, 97°23'59" W Alt: 2329m

Procumbent herb, stems to 50 cm long, farinose. Young shoots crystalline. Flowers minute, separate male and female flowers.
Salt lake marginal habitat, grazed by sheep and goats. Growing in crevice in white, stromatolite rocks, 10 m from lake edge.

Identification Notes: Verified with Calderon, G. & Rzedowski, J. 2001 'Flora fanerogamica del Valle de Mexico'. Leaves greyish tomentose. Female flowers in sessile axillary clusters. Female flowers witout perianth but two clasping bracts with 5-6 teeth on the margin.
