Location:Veracruz, Mpio Perote, 1 km E of La Gloria, Cerro 'La Casa de Los Carrillos'
Coordinates: 19°23'42" N, 97°14'52" W Alt: 2709m

Stout shrub 1 m height and spread. Bark light grey. Young shoots with pale yellow pubescence. Flowers very light blue becoming paler with age. Anthers pale yellow.
Edge of Pinus forest with ?Nolina. South-facing slope 40º. Open area with Poaceae.

Identification Notes: Verified with Fross, D. & Wilken, D 'Ceanothus' Timber Press 2006. Ceanothus subgenus Ceanothus. Stipules thin, deciduous. Leaves alternate, margin serrate with glandular tipped glands, abaxially densely ferugineous wooly. Inflorescence racemose, pedicels puberulent.
