Location:Veracruz, Mpio Perote, Tepeyahualco, km 97 on the Autopista from Puebla to Jalapa.
Coordinates: 19°32'12" N, 97°22'41" W Alt: 2428m

Shrub with erect stems branching from the base, 50 cm tall. Stems purple-brown. Flowers greenish white, in pendent inflorescences. Petals reflexed. Sap white.
Old volcanic lava flow with ?Nolina, Agave, Opuntia, Hechtia and Mammillaria. Growing in crevice in volcanic rock with Echeveria and Poaceae.

Identification Notes: Verified with Calderon, G. & Rzedowski, J. 2001 'Flora fanerogamica del Valle de Mexico'. Leaves alternate, narrow more than 10 times as long as wide. Corolla rotate reflexed, greenish-brown and longer than the calyx. Corona of 5 white and cuculate lobes, erect. Corona spured inside, spur as long as or longer than corona lobe. Pollinia erect.
