Location:Veracruz, Mpio Tequila.
Coordinates: 18°43'22" N, 97°03'50" W Alt: 1835m

Prostrate shrub to 20 cm tall. Stems pink tinged. Flowers white.
Roadside, ruderal, disturbed habitat at forest edge. Orange clay soil with Sambucus, Hypericum and Thalictrum. Growing on clay bank with Salvia, Alchemilla and mosses.

Identification Notes: Verified with Shirley A. Graham 1991 'Flora de Veracruz: Lythraceae' Vol. 66. Leaves obtuse. Flowers axillary, solitary. Hypanthium cylindrical, petals white inserted at top of hypanthium. Nectary disc uniform in height.
