Location:Veracruz, Mpio Huatusco, 20 m from the road, opposite road junction and restaurant 'Rincon Jarocho'.
Coordinates: 19°09'18" N, 96°57'46" W Alt: 1261m

Tree ca 25 m tall. DBH 2.9 m. Bark light grey-brown, cracking with vertical fissures. Acorns and cups collected from the ground. Small population of three mature trees.
Coffee plantation with Platanus mexicanus. 10 m from river.

Identification Notes: Verified with Le Hardÿ de Beaulieu, A. 2010 'Guide illustré des chenes'. Subgenus Quercus section Quercus. Twigs ferugineous hairy with narrow lanceolate stipules. Cupule 1/3 as long as acorn with numerous short and hairy bracts. Acorn ovoid and flattened.
