Location:Veracruz, Mpio Calcahualco, Barranco de San Miguel, Tlacotiopa.
Coordinates: 19°06'29" N, 97°12'07" W Alt: 2646m

Shrub with stems erect or pendent, 1.5 m long. Flowers dark pink with pink veins and white blotches inside at the throat. Stamens and stigma white.
Stream gorge with Pinus and Quercus forest. NE facing side of the gorge. Humid area near stream. Growing in moss on top of rock outcrop and hanging over vertical rock sides. Small population of 7 patches on the rock outcrop. Growing with Quercus, Beschornia and Pinguicula.

Identification Notes: Verified with Jose Agel Villarreal Q. 2002 'Flora de Veracruz, Caprifoliaceae' Vol. 126. Flowers tubular, pendent and almost regular. Nectary three lines of glandular hairs at the base of the corolla tube. Calyx of 5 reddish accrescent sepals.
