Location:Oaxaca, ca. 10 km SW of San Sebastián Tecomaxtlahuaca, near San Martin Duraznos.
Coordinates: 17°18'10" N, 98°06'31" W Alt: 1919m

Lithophytic fern growing in shade of Quercus. Fronds very light green 30-50 cm long. Thick creeping rhizome with orange-brown scales.
Disturbed area with grazing. S-facing slope of stream gorge. Growing on rock with mosses and Laelia autumnalis.

Identification Notes: Verified with Mickel, J.T., Pteridophytes of Mexico, 2004. Frond with reddish or white scales. Sori immature, oblong, terminal on 1 or 2 veins, without indusium.
