Location:Jalisco, NNW of Bolaños.
Coordinates: 22°12'13" N, 103°52'59" W Alt: 2347m

Tiny shrub. Leaves purple. Flowers mauve-pink.
Open Quercus and Pinus forest with Pinus lumholtzii, Quercus radiata, Arctostaphylos pungens, Arbutus madrensis and Arbutus tessellata. Growing in rocks and leaf litter on a W-facing slope under Pinus and Quercus.

Identification Notes: Verified with Blake (1916) A Revision of the genus Polygala in Mexico, Central America and the West Indies. Contr. Gray Herb. 47:1-122. Subgenus Hebecarpa, Section Bioloba. Stems finely incurved puberulous. Sepals all free. Lower sepals petaloid and deciduous, upper sepal herbaceous, persistent. Keel without beak or crest. Seed pubescent. Aril glabrous.
