Location:Jalisco, NNW of Bolaños.
Coordinates: 22°12'13" N, 103°52'59" W Alt: 2347m

Erect herb 40 cm tall. Cyathia and nectaries light green.
Open Quercus and Pinus forest with Pinus lumholtzii, Quercus radiata, Arctostaphylos pungens, Arbutus madrensis and Arbutus tessellata. Growing in rocks and leaf litter on a W-facing slope under Pinus and Quercus.

Identification Notes: Verified with McVaugh, R. 1961 'Flora Nocae Galiciana Euphorbiaceae' Brittonia, 13, (2): 145-205. Plant annual?. Leaves alternate, acute and 5-7 mm long. Cyathia solitary, Gland orbicular not horned. Ovary glabrous. This species may be introduced or a new species which is not listed in the account.
