Delicate herb. Flowers white. Calyx green with transparent margins. Stigma 3-lobed.
Open Pinus and Quercus forest. Growing at stream edge on rocks in full sun.

Identification Notes: Verified with Emmanuel Pérez-Calix, Karina M. Grajales-Tam, 2013 'Flora del Bajio y de regiones Adyacentes, Caryophyllaceae' Vol. 180. Leaves ovate with cuneate base. Flowers solitary. Petals deeply bifid as long as calyx. Style 3, capsule teeth 3. Seeds with wide and long papillae.
