Epiphyte, leaves white scaly. Inflorescence pendent. Bracts bright pink. Flowers purple. Anthers yellow.
Open Pinus and Quercus forest. Growing with lichens on Quercus at 2 m high, 5 m from stream.

Identification Notes: Verified with Roguenant, A. 'Les Tillandsia et les Racinea'. Sepals symmetrical, similar, scaly. Leaves tomentose, decreasing in size gradually. Leaf scales suborbicular, slightly lobed. Leaf sheath concolorous with the blade. Flowers polystichous. Bracts broad at base, apex long caudate.
