Location:Durango, Espinazo del Diablo.
Coordinates: 23°39'33" N, 105°44'18" W Alt: 2503m

Shrub 50 cm tall. Sterile flowers white. Leaves yellow-green.
Open Pinus and Quercus forest. Growing under Pinus on stream bank with ferns.

Identification Notes: Verified with McClintock, E. 1957. 'A monograph of the genus Hydrangea'. Proc. California Acad. Sci. 29: 147-256. Climber with evergreen leaves. Inflorescence a simple flat topped corymb with glabrous rachis. Flowers 4-merous. Stem stellate hairy. Endemic to a small area in Durango.
