Location:Durango, Espinazo del Diablo.
Coordinates: 23°39'33" N, 105°44'18" W Alt: 2503m

Herb 1 m tall, stem purple with white bloom. Tepals greenish purple. Anthers pink. Basal leaves not present on flowering plant - taken from separate individual. Plant only faintly aromatic.
Open Pinus and Quercus forest. Growing on rock with ferns, under Pinus.

Identification Notes: Verified with Coulter, J.M.; Rose, J.N. 1900 'A Synopsis of Mexican and Central American Umbelliferae' Proc. Washington. Acad. Sci. 1:11-159. Leaves pinnately compound and dissected. Inflorescence compound and diffuse. Bracts none, bracteoles few shorter than umbels. Flowers dark purplish, bisexual at the edge, male in the middle. Schizocarp laterally flattened and winged. Mericarps with three conspicuous thin ribs.
