Location:Durango, near Espinazo del Diablo.
Coordinates: 23°41'57" N, 105°43'24" W Alt: 2743m

Tuberous herb. Leaves with white bloom. Flowers purple-pink. Pedicels purple. Sepals green with dark central stripe. Petals and style purple pink. Anthers yellow. Filaments pink-hairy. Stigma white. Petals with in-curved margins.
Pinus forest with giant boulders. Growing in humous under Arbutus.

Identification Notes: Verified with Hunt, D.R. (1986) A Revision of Gibasis. Kew Bulletin 41(1): 107-129. Leaves glaucous, erect, hooded at apex. Stamens 6, all fertile, bearded. Anther thecae widely separated by a rectangular connective.
