Notes:Verified with Flora of China online draft and Rehder, A.'Synopis of the Genus Lonicera', Annual Report, Missouri Botanical Garden. 14. 1903. Sect. Isoxylosteum, subsect. Microstylae. Erect shrub, branched. Branches with solid white pith. Leaves, bracts and petioles glandular hairy. Petiole up to 2mm long, leaves opposite, leaf blade obovate, up to 2.5 cm long and 1 cm wide. Flowers paired, axillary. Bracts leaf like, often longer than calyx lobes. Bracteoles fused in cup, almost as long as ovary. Corolla white, glabrous, tubular, 6-8mm, not swollen at base but with little bump bellow middle. Corolla mouth covered with hairs, yellowish. Corolla lobes 5, shorter than tube. Anthers and stigma inserted in corolla tube, styles shorter than stamens. Ovaries of neighbouring flowers completely fused. Fruit purple-red, suborbicular, seeds brownish, compressed.
