Notes:Verified with Flora of China online draft and Rehder, A.'Synopis of the Genus Lonicera', Annual Report, Missouri Botanical Garden. 14. 1903. Sect. Coeloxylosteum, subsect. Breviflorae. Climber, leaves leathery, opposite, glabrous abaxially, shiny dark green with sparsely adpressed hairy mid vein adaxialy. Leaf blade lanceolate, apex acuminate. Stems reddish-brown, glabrous. Petioles around 5 mm long, hairy. Flowers paired at apex of peduncle, peduncle about 1 cm long. Buds white - pink. Ovaries of neighboring flowers distinct. Bracts as long as or slightly shorter than calyx, linear, with few short hairs. Bracteoles broadly ovate, distinct, apex obtuse, ciliate. Calyx calyx tube elliptic, 2-3 mm, glabrous, calyx lobes narrowly triangular, up to 1 mm long, margin glabrous. Corolla bilabiate, shorter than 3cm, yellow tinged with orange-pink hue, outside glabrous, corolla tube slightly swollen on one side and almost as long as corolla lobes, inside hairy. Upper labium erct, lower recurved. Stamens and styles as long as corolla. Style hairy below middle.
