Notes:Verified with Flora sinica (translated and revised version for the Flora of China project) and Rehder 'Synospis of the Genus Lonicera' Ann. Rep. Mis. Bot. Gdn. 14.1903. Sect Coeloxylosteum Subsect. Ochranthae. Shrub. Leaves ovate. Leaf margin entire. Branches with brown pith later becoming hollow. Winter buds with several scales. Flowers paired at apex of peduncle. Bracteoles as long as the ovary. Peduncle very short. Corolla bilabiate, white. Ovary not connate together or just at the very base. Calyx 5 lobed.
