Notes:Verified with Flora of China online (DRAFT) and Reyder, A. 'Synopsis of the Genus Lonicera' in Annual Reports of the Missouri Botanical Garden 14 (1903). Upright, deciduous shrub with small pink flowers in pairs. Leaves opposite, not connate at base, lanceolate, approx. 10cm long, apex acuminate. Leaf underside densely white-villous on the midvein at the base. Branchlets with solid white pith. Winter buds with numerous outer scales. Flowers in pairs. Corolla tube saccate at base. Ovaries fused. Calyx tubes with a fold at the base. Section Isika, subsection Pileatae.
