Notes: Verified with Flora of China online draft and Rehder, A.'Synopis of the Genus Lonicera', Annual Report, Missouri Botanical Garden. 14. 1903. Sect. Isika subsect. Bracteata. Stem with white pith not becoming hollow. Stems hirsute covered in setiferous bristles. Stems ending in two axillary buds. Bud scales several. Ovaries twinned, densely glandular hairy, free with two large bracteoles at the base. Corolla white-pink densely hairy and almost regular. Calyx cupular. Style shorter than the corolla.

Field notes: Shrub to 2m with erect- arching stem and red hip like fruits borne in clusters along stem. Growing in weltish gulley in mixed Pinus/deciduous woodland with Rhododendron yunnanensis, Deutzia, Calanthe tricarinata etc.
