Notes:Verified with Flora of China on line. Dioecious shrub, to 1 m. Stems erect, jointed, branched. Branchlets whorled, green, longitudinally grooved, 1.5-3 mm in diameter, rigid, with whitish bloom. Internodes longer 2-6 cm. Leaves opposite, scalelike, brownish, with triangular apex, connate for 2/3 or more. Seed cones ovoid, clustered at nodes or opposite, sessile or on short stalks, bracts opposite mainly in 4 pairs, outer ones connate at base, apical pair connate for 1/2 length.Tubular micropyle up to 3-5 mm long, twisted, exserted.
